Take away food in Jersey, our top 10:

A PIECE OF CAKE

With our French influence Jersey has a long history of good bakeries and patisseries. Our favourites are Vienna Bakery in the Central Market and Bruno’s Bakery next to the Town Hall.

CURRY

The best Indian/ Bangladeshi restaurant in St Helier also does a great take away. Cafe Spice is open 7 days a week. We recommend the Gost Raj- lamb marinated in garlic, red wine & cinnamon and cooked in vine tomato sauce.

Where: 53 Kensington Place

FISH & CHIPS

The best ‘chippy’ in St Helier is definitely Gerry’s Fish Bar.

Where: 47 Great Union Road

FOOD TRUCKS

Domingo’s– Good, cheap and filling burritos and other Tex-Mex favourites from Domingo’s Food Truck in the town centre every Thursday. Check their Facebook Page for weekly locations.

ICE CREAM

Yogolicious near the market serves great local ice cream as well as delicious frozen yoghurts.

ON THE BEACH:

Get a great bacon butty or a gut buster burger at The Line Up on St Ouen’s Bay and eat it on the beachfront.

MARKET FOOD

Head to Casa Paco in the Central Market for quality Spanish tapas and great paella.

PIZZA

Pizza Projekt serves superb freshly made pizza with particularly good vegan options right by the Market Street entrance.

SEAFOOD

Order a seafood picnic hamper from the Fresh Fish Company and go to one of the quieter bays for a seaside lunch.
