Rozel Bay is a small beach and harbour quietly tucked away on the north coast of Jersey. Originally, the harbour was built for local oyster fishermen; today, there is a mix of small fishing and leisure boats. At mid to high tide, the bay is a pleasant and safe place to take a dip.

WHERE TO EAT

A local institution, The Hungry Man on the pier, is a popular kiosk cafe for tea and bacon butties, and crab sandwiches are reliably good.

The Rozel Pub is a nice gastropub with a local feel, just a stone’s throw from the bay and conveniently right next to the bus stop. For all-day English Breakfasts, one of the best afternoon teas in Jersey, and a charming patio garden, visit the Rozel Bay Tea Room, a scone’s throw from the bay.

HOTELS IN ROZEL BAY

The only hotel in Rozel is a short stroll up the hill from the bay. Chateau La Chaire is a charming old country hotel with a great restaurant.

GETTING THERE

Despite being- by local standards- a little remote, Rozel is well served by a bus route from town.
